me + parker at NYFW

i wasn't going to be at the tents at all today but ended up stopping by with Parker after the Rachel Antonoff show and then went to Mandy Coon as well. But we had so. much. fun. just hanging out and photographing people. It's great to be with someone with fresh eyes to keep me from getting a little jaded! I took this photo of us in a mirrored door but the reflective surface is so big it doesn't look like it which I thought was kind of cool...

My first official night of #NYFW and my first party of the evening was at Stella McCartney store where People's Revolution hosted a party for PETA? with PETA? I'm not sure... but Tim Gunn was there but was so flocked by ladies I didn't get a photo. I'm sure I'll see Timmy later in the week. So here's Indashio - a new fashion designer you've never heard of but who has great energy with the ever lovely Lady Bunny.

Yeah I'm a big dork but I'm planning my NYFW outfits

So what does one do on such a disgusting day? Well for me it was time to "go shopping in my closet" (especially since the Givenchy platform shoes I was counting on "making" my outfits turned out to not fit properly). Deciding what to wear ahead of time will leave me with one less thing to think about day-to-day. It's trickier than it might seem because I need something that I can wear all day while carrying around a camera and equipment and not entirely freeze my ass off.
Here are some preliminary ideas...I've cropped my head out because I read somewhere recently that's the best way to actually see the clothes - that we are too preoccupied by our own faces to know whether something looks good on us. So here are 4 looks completely unretouched. Also, do you like how I'm standing mostly on newspaper? It's because I don't want the dirt from my shoes on my floor –even though it's concrete– I'm totally anal like that!

I am not as good about posting here as I thought I'd be. Ah, c'est la vie n'est pas? I'm madly prepping for fashion week: requesting invites to shows  and working out the glitches for the sdnyc iphone app. So far I'm excited to be going to Katie Gallagher, Christian Siriano and Daryl K in particular. I'm really really hoping that MAO PR is going to give me a green light on having Taff! cover me at The Blonds show...but still waiting to see!
